Food carrier

When going to work, i need a way to carry my food with me.

I am always looking for sweet ways to carry my stuff and this also extends to my food.

I made this baby using the cheapest IKEA dish-towel.

Lets break it down to 5 easy steps:

1.Wide open the towel.

2. Fold one corner just a little bit more than the middle of the towel,

3. Bring the oposite corner above the first one.

4. Sew in 4 places to close it.

5. Fill it up with goodies :)

 Tadaaaah!

Joyful Joyful

Kids need to know they are loved.

Everyday.

Sometimes life gets in the way and we don't give them the attention they deserve.

Then.....then birthdays come....and its time to repent.

Put on your happiest face, remember how you felt the day they were born and give lots lots of hugs.

And kisses.

In this family we celebrate even the littlest occasion.We will clinck glasses during lunch or when we drink a chocolate milk in the car.

You dont have to make huge expenses to celebrate life.

Life is a stand-alone celebration.

During a recent celebration kids wore paper necklaces....

Had a cake topper that said "JoyfulJoyful" and had glitters and stars and hearts....

...............and pom poms!

Everybody needs some glitter and pom poms!

Lets talk scarves!

People who know me, know how obsessed i am with scarves.

If you go even for the shortest trip to the mall with me you know i may not look at anything else in a shop, but i will certainly look for the  scarves!

Zara is usually a good sources but a bit pricey, if you ask me. It's not like the average 31-year old cant afford it but its not normal to spend the same amount of money on a scarf and on a pair of ballerinas.

Anyhooo....Here are my favorites for this season...

From left to right...

1. Happy scarf with lots of colour - it goes with everything.

2. Wintery yet stylish

3. So-Hot-Right-Now! i dont like this patern on most clothes but oh this one is PER-FECT!i mean....it just sets the mood for Christmas in a second!!!

4. Rrrrrrrrrrr!!!!This is a classic for my taste...it needs to be in the scarf drawer right this instant!

It's beginning to look a lot like......

......not Christmas!

I know it silly, i know its too too early....but i read a blog today (sorry........cant remember which.....if i find it again i'll edit for credits) that said if its time for Halloween, then its time to start listening to Christmas songs!

Well.....people will start laughing if i change my ringtone....but as soon as we hit 19th November......NOTHING will hold me anymore!!!

If tomorrow never comes....

Sometimes i feel like tomorrow might never come.

Not because i will not be alive tomorrow but because i am not living the moment...........its all about living the moment basically.

This means...........

Wearing custom made ballerinas and my favorite scarf...

.....Pretending i am Mr Printables.......and giving these glamorous boxes to important people <3

...... Visiting kids' parties because their mom insists!

.......Eating this precious fruit at work....

 ............Having improptu really really early Christimas parties by the pool.......

 .......Enjoying a hearty breakfast with mom's blessings......

.......Happy for sister's 1st wedding anniversary (yay!!!)....

And dreaming of drinking hot cocoa while (or right after) watching Chocolat once again.....

Trust me.....October's Sundays are the best!

Happy moments

So....i've been a bit MIA lately...blame it on loads of work, blame it on loads of family visits but do blame it on procrastination as well...

My mother keeps telling me how she shouldn't postpone anything for later cause it ends up like a whole  mountain that she has to deal instead of a teeny tiny hill!

All in all......heres what i've enjoyed lately.....

i'm just recording the things that made me say WOW-A 3 times in a row....

While working i bumped into a potato gathering.....i was astonished...

Another time while working, i bumbed into these flowers that are edible. They stuff them with the mixture of minced meat and cook it in tomato sauce.

AAAAND....they deliver it with this bicycle...

This is what i get to eat on weekends!

Some people believe in evil eyes....i don't.

But i do consider them such cute and fun jewelries :D

Worthless hair thingys but oh soooo cute!

I have a serious resentment for summer.

But i loooove this combination.

Actually.....this is the only thing that matters.

Reckless baby fingers playing with each other on a bed with nothing but a guitar and the hope that someday that's all that will matter for them....to hold their guitars/trumpets/violins/whatever instrument God puts in their heart and worship the Lord.

What to wear to...

Onsite visits......

Imagine this:

You are an engineer and you must visit customers in their premises...which means you have to go to a desalination plant/waste water treatment plant/any type of inside-outside combo plant that engineers usually visit....

At the same time you need to look professional, you want to look stylish and combine this with being fashionable (on a budget since you are still young and you are not rewarded for the amount of time you put in this business).

It all about wearing "the structured shirt"

Combined with simple black Zara legging/jeggins

And finishing the look with all stars since you have to keep your ballerinas for the office

The good thing is you can still wear a cute necklace and earring but i will save that for another post.

Happy Moments

Life's little happy moments are what we are waking up for everyday...

Here's what i recorded as happy in my life the last few weeks.

I get to enjoy lots and lots of sunshine every morning while i drive to work.

Then I saw the new Zara Home window....oh my goofness! I mean....my nephews and niece really really need those little furniture!

Take a closer look!

I had kebab with my mom and i noticed the most jealous-worthy floor...

(yeah, thats my new MANGO ballerinas)

Royal blue eyeliner will always make me smile

I've sewed some studs on my all stars just because i thought i should :p

When life gives you lemons.....

...make a....

I find it such a blessing if you can grown things in your yard...especially if you can grow fruits and vegetables!

But as a person involved in the chemical quality of waters and soil i can tell you one thing....

Not everyone is that blessed!

Anyhoooo.....

It seems that this year everyone had plenty of citrus fruit or at least enough to give to others as well....People would give away lemons even in church this Sunday!

So.....my mom who is one of the best women i know....and who is always at the top of things...made lemonade!

It's not enough that she made some great lemonade, she used this bottle i love love love just to make me smile!!!!

By the way........this phrase was playing in my mind 2 days now so i googled it and found this poem in wiki "Eight years before Carnegie's book brought the phrase back into the mainstream, a poetic rendition of the phrase entitled The Optimist appeared in a 1940 edition of The Rotarian:

Jewellery & Packaging

We've celebrated a few birthdays and going away's in this part of the world...

So...what better excuse to show your love and give a gift...or two :)

Here are the tools:

-Really......really cute carton piece....for example....glittery ones!!!!

-Paper cutter

-Scizors your sis brought from Budapest or cool lifetime guarantee scizors from the pharmacy

-Tweezers

-Jewellery tools

As i mentioned in a previous post, i made a cute necklace for my little sis but i needed a cute packaging for two reasons:

1. Because its cute and sweet

2. Because i didnt want to ruin it.

My other little sis asked me to make this ear ring for a friend who was going away 

(since my sis had it and her friend liked it). 

Finally, i made a gold one for my sis because she only had a  silver one!!!

Tip: when using super glue make sure you use a piece of wood to protect the table you are working on :)
